Cable car in Pokhara.

Nepal Government has agreed on operating a cablecar from the lakeside of Pokhara city to the “World Peace Stupa”. The stupa is situated on a hill (1,113m) at a distance of 9 km from Pokhara. A private company has planned to build a temple within the territory of the stupa and encourages the building of hotels nearby. They have also thought of building other entertainment facilities in the park situated at the base of the stupa in order to make it a day long tour. Additionally, Nepal government has offered private and public companies to invest in this project.
