GITF sees Nepal’s participation2010-03-25 — 2010-03-27Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) led four Nepalese travel trade companies (Sathi Nepal, Global Holidays, My Nepal Adventure and Gokarna Forest Resort) in the 18th edition of Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) - one of the extensive travel fairs of Asia Pacific region. The fair was held in Guangzhou, China.
This year 506 companies from around the world (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Russia and so on) participated in GITF.
Nepal’s pavilion, which displayed different tourism products of Nepal with a theme of Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011, succeeded in drawing a good number of visitors. Most of them enquired about air service to Nepal from different cities of China while some others sought information on special packages for Chinese tourists during NTY 2011.
