Annual Plan
Year 1 (Sept 2007-Sept 2008): Business Planning and Access to Financial Services
Following activities are carried out in order to achieve this goal:
- A Market Survey
A Market Survey on European demand and Nepalese offer as well as Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Trends (SWOT) of Nepalese Small and Medium Enterprises sector is performed between September and March.

- Selection of the beneficiaries SMEs
About 150 SMEs have been selected as project beneficiaries by May.
- Training Sessions
Training sessions for the selected SMEs are conducted between June and August. It included Business Planning and Access to capital. The e-learning modules are made available on-line after each training.
- Small Enterprises Excellence Awards(SEEA)
Business plans developed by the trainees have been finalized by August 08. These plans were evaluated by a jury constituted by the project partners and our banks event's partners. The ceremony was organized on September 16th 2008.
- A trade fair
A trade-fair is organized in India by DHS (Dastkari Haat Samiti) in December 08 during their annual Dilli Haat Craft Bazaar together with a workshop for the 25 Nepalese participants (as part of the project Year 2)
Year 2 (Sept 2008-Sept 2009): Access to performance enhancement services
The second year is centred on increasing the access of Nepalese SMEs to performance enhancement services.
- Training Sessions
Training Sessions are conducted on Information Technologies basics, Quality Management System and Marketing between September 08 and August 09. (see the Year 2 newsletters)
- A trade fair
A trade fair is jointly organized by FHAN (Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal) in November 09 (as part of the project Year 2)
- Small Enterprises Excellence Awards
SMEs running for the SEEA Award will be chosen among the Marketing training participants and the 25 and 5 best will be awarded. The SEEA will be organized in September.
Year 3 (Sept 2009-Sept 2010) : Access to markets
The third year deals with extending the market outreach of the Nepalese SMEs.
- SME rating tool
An SME rating tool is developed between September and August.
- Evaluation of SME Export capacity
The export capacity of the SMEs is evaluated between November and June.
- A Trade fair
A trade fair is organized by FWEAN in July.
- Small Enterprises Excellence Awards
SMEs for the SEE Awards are selected between July and August. The SEE Awards is organized in September 2010.
